The 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser has managed to update some of its safety features for 2007 and a few options that are new. The large SUV underwent several cosmetic upgrades in 2006 and the basic design of the vehicle remains the same for 2007. The Toyota Land Cruiser is Toyota's most-expensive SUV model and is considered a large SUV even though it is slightly smaller than the Toyota Sequoia. The Land Cruiser comes in one model and trim which is a 4-door four wheel drive.
Introducing the 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser
The 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser looks identical to the 2006 model which underwent some front-end modifications. The 2007 model adds side-curtain air bags for the front two rows as standard and side-impact airbags for the front seats as standard. The 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser also has a DVD-based touch screen navigation system as an option as well as an entertainment system. A back-up video camera is also included with that touch-screen navigation system. The Land Cruiser standard is to seat eight people and comes with two bucket seats in the front and second and third row benches that can fold to add more cargo space. The Land Cruiser also comes with a standard six-CD in-dash changer from JBL. Other standard features include a moonroof, remote keyless entry and climate controls.
What's new in 2007?
The 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser has only a few updates for 2007. The 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser has updated the safety options by adding side-impact airbags for the passenger and driver. Toyota has also added side-curtain airbags for the back rows of seats. The airbags have a delay system in place should the car rollover so that the airbags will stay inflated.
As far as additional options for 2007 the Land Cruiser has made just a few adjustments. The most impressive and biggest option is the navigation system that is part of a DVD entertainment system. This system has a touch screen for easy access and navigation. The entertainment system portion has a DVD player and rear screens with an option for individual headphones. Beyond that the Land Cruiser went through its upgrades as far as its appearance goes back in 2006 when a new front end and a grille were added.
Price Range and Gas Mileage
The 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser comes in just one trim and model and that is a four-wheel drive four door model. It's starting price is $56,215.
The gas mileage for the Land Cruiser comes out as 13 miles in the city and 17 miles highway driving.
The Engines Available.
The 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser comes with a standard 230-hp 4.7-liter V-8 engine. The engine also comes with a standard 5-speed automatic transmission with over-drive.
The Land Cruiser goes from 0 - 60 in 9.48 seconds.
Vehicle Dimensions
The 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser is one of the larger SUVs available although it is shorter than the Toyota Sequoia. The exterior length of the Land Cruiser is 192.5 inches. The exterior width is 76.4 inches. The exterior height is 73.2 inches. The Land Cruiser has interior cargo volume of 29.8 cubic feet with the seats up. The folded seats increase the cargo volume to 39.2 cubic feet.
